Revelation 2:19: “I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last [to be] more than the first.”
The play upon the words “last/first” may be another cryptic indication of the use of ethbash, an alphabetic system substituting the last letter for the first; in other words a writing code.
